This book was a disappointment. I had high expectations, and the concept holds a lot of potential. However, I felt that there could have been so much more detail included to explain Addie's day-to-day existence and how she got through so many lonely years. Important things were left out or glossed over. The character is 300 years old in present day, yet she showed no signs of wisdom. There were also many contradictions - she can't change, yet the way she speaks and acts in the present day is very modern and her memory of all events is perfect. The rules that the author sets up for this world are frequently broken, which makes suspending disbelief quite difficult. The ending was a copout.This book was a disappointment.
