For the second installment in this trilogy (the first segment was not available at CPL) this isn't a bad interpretation of Ayn Rand's book. The impressive list of actors involved did a good job of carrying the story. Could it have been…

Liked a lot. A big fan of Samantha Mathis. Interesting storyline and characters.

This is a movie, not a book. A must-watch trilogy about the dangers of Big Government.

As this story line (a 3-part movie series) parallels the book of same name, I will simply post the main segment of my Review of book here. I had read (with much effort) this book years ago and recently "re-visited" it with a scanning.…

“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an…

I preferred Part 1 as the script in Part 1 seemed much better. I found the casting and acting quite good in this film even though different than in Part 1, but contrived in some areas; and, I do not see it as a good Hollywood type of…

I do wish they had kept the same actors which portrayed the characters in the first movie. It would have provided more continuity.

This movie would have been better as an Esai Morales one-man show. He played Francisco, and was the only one who could deliver key lines (explanation of the novel's title, the money speech) with the appropriate gravitas. Dagny I was…

My own opinion--not Wikipedia's--is this is an excellent movie. We enjoyed it so much we want to watch part 3 in the theater this time! Watch and decide for yourself.

I was let down by Part two. They did a complete reboot of the actors. It seems like they had a smaller budget for effects as well. The movie still had the merit of a great concept and a good script. I am excited to see how it ends, as I…

Some of the new actors are better; some are worse. Overall, it does a better job of getting its point across compared to the first part rather than just pandering to Rand followers. The script and dialogue seem to be laid out better and a…

I believe if Mrs. Rand was alive she would have liked this interpretation of her book. From what I recall it is very much like the book. The story is that of the makers in society that slowly escape to a Capitalist world created by John…

Because Ayn Rand's work was so thickly laden with her incredibly flawed sociopolitical thinking, you're forced to look at this movie from the perspective of judging the work based on the validity of Rand's observations and views. Having…
