Age: 16+ Star Rating: 4 stars Review: The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle is an insightful book that delves into the importance of being present in the present moment. The book's goal is to guide readers to find peace, and happiness in their…

I read this book once several years back. I couldnt set it down! It was so inspiring for me, that even now, I embrace many concepts I have taken from this book.

This book comes to you when you're ready... and when you are, it can be life transforming! Seriously! Eckhart speaks in a question and answer type format so it's easy to follow and understand what subject you're on. And the way he…

If you like this book at all, you will want to own it. You can not just read it once and be done with it. Very dense - it requires reading slowly with lots of pauses in between to absorb the material. NOT a page-turner by any means!!

I found this book extremely challenging to read, and forced my way through it. As a result I did not retain much from it. The book asked us to focus on the now and not think at all about the past and future, but I didn't understand how…

Simply amazing and amazingly simple. If you're open to changing yourself and want a way to improve every aspect of your life, this is the book. More peace now

This book was so important for me. It blew my mind wide open. The concept seems so simple, but is an everyday practice that is simply life-changing. Accept everything as it is and let everything else fall away.

Overall I enjoyed it. It treads the line between reasonable self-empowerment and woo-woo territory, but smart readers can tell the difference. I'd recommend this book since it presents quite a few concepts that are interesting, applicable,…

Maybe it wasn't my time to read it. I love books like this but found it very much a chore to read. the concept is good, the message wonderful just I don't really respond well to the whole Q&A style of writing for this book.

I have read The Power of Now and A New Earth several times. For some reason I never get sick of it. There are some things I don't really understand, but for the most part it resonates within. The Power of Now goes into depth about being…

Definitely repetitive, but powerful. I know I will be wanting to read these words again so I will certainly be buying myself my own copy. Remember friends; nothing ever happened in the past or future. Everything happened in its unique NOW…

You can't read the book with your mind. To experience "NOW", you need to put down all your thinking, interpretation and judgment. Just FEEL it. When you judge whether the book is good or bad, you already left the presence and fell deep…

I like the idea of staying in the present, and not the past or the future but I got lost after that. It was a lofty read. Zzzzzzzzz

I thought it was a really decent book, it honestly can be summed up in a few pages. But he over explains and does it to try and hammer these concepts into the readers mind. He does this trying to weed out negative thought patterns that…

I guess I'm one of those folks who just doesn't buy into "epiphanies" that make you realize your true nature, while spinning around a polar vortex. I'm in agreement with "rswcove" below. It seems Tolle has found his own way to present…

This book is really a mixed bag and I agree with others that it could have been said succinctly in 10 pages. Here are the pros and cons: With the past a trigger for depression and the future a trigger for anxiety, living in the now is…

tough read for me and I couldn't finish it. Love the message and completely buy into it. However I felt like each of his points dragged on and were repetitive. I wanted to escape the "Now" when I was reading it.

I love Eckhart Tolle's work. This book is no exception. Really made me think, and reminded me to appreciate the present moment. This is a book I'd buy for my own personal library and read and re-read as a reminder.

Eckart Tolle has quite the racket. He steals the most easily digestible self erving and self serving parts of the modern new age movement, gnostic christianity, buddhism and animism and hinduism. Mixes them together into a neat little…
