This book wasn’t as gripping as earlier ones but it’s I still enjoyed it. I like the characters a lot.

While I didn't enjoy this story as much as some of the others I've read I still liked it a lot and will keep going with the series.

A good read, great descriptives of places and characters. If only Ruth will stop pining for a lost cause.

I am thoroughly enjoying the Ruth Galloway series. This mystery has less of the archeology involved in the other books in the series and Ruth takes more of a back seat to Nelson in solving the murders. I still highly recommend this…

JOANNE'S MYSTERY PICKS Little Walsingham, a medieval town in England, is known to be very spiritual. While Ruth’s friend, Cathbad, is cat-sitting for a friend there, he sees what he believes to be an apparition of a woman standing at a…

Not as compelling as others in the series - too many new characters, too many of them priests, too little use of pets - but as always it’s a pleasure to spend time with Ruth Galloway.

An OK read for readers already familiar with the characters from Griffiths' Ruth Galloway series. In this novel Ruth is not digging in an archaeological trench and she is not involved in any suspenseful life and death situation. Although…

This is the first of this series I found hard to put down (although they do get better with each new story). There just was so much more I wanted to know and so many changes. The tension and suspense never let up, so plan plenty of time…

This remains one of my favorite series. Walsingham is a properly gothic setting for a Ruth Galloway mystery, and Griffiths makes the most of it.

This is one of my favorite series. I love Ruth. She seems so funny and true to life. This particular installment's mystery was just a bit far-fetched but ok none the less.

Always a pleasure to read, this Ruth Galloway mystery doesn't disappoint. Characters are so familiar and I love Ruth and Nelson and their daughter Kate. Will Nelson ever make another move towards Ruth? The author leaves this one up in…

This has quickly become one of my favorite series. There are quirky characters whose eccentricities abound. And always a fascinating setting.

Elly Griffiths never fails to satisfy with her series of mystery novels featuring forensic archaeologist/amateur detective Ruth Galloway. Her latest offering, The Woman in Blue, departs slightly from her previous books in that the mystery…

I love the Ruth Galloway series and this is another fine addition. If you haven't read these yet, give them a try. For Anglophiles and fans of good mysteries.

The eighth book in the Ruth Galloway series, touches only lightly on archaeology. We are treated to religious pilgrimages, very human women priests, and a large number of suspects. The solution is a person hiding in plain sight. Along…
