This is one of my all-time favorite books. The best way I can think to describe it is that it's a "gentle" story. It's a sweet tale of blooming friendship and the makings of a family. That's not to say there aren't dramatic moments, but the drama serves the story, not the other way around (as is so often the case). I highly recommend it.
