Add a CommentA nice entertaining story, but the ending appears unsatisfactory.
Having recently seen “Léon,” watching the companion picture seemed the only thing to do, thanks to @VPL.
An excellent thriller, with all sorts of surprises and humour mixed with heart-breaking moments of sadness.
Luc Besson is so good!
I haven't seen a Luc Besson film I didn't kinda like. Sometimes it's the top of the line. Am I allowed to admit I never got a chance to see Leon the Professional all the way through?
This original femme fatale assassin film was so good that Hollywood remade it as Point of No Return three years later in 1993 with Bridget Fonda, Gabriel Byrne, Anne Bancroft and Harvey Keitel. Seems to be the first big screen film that is written and directed by Luc Besson who also brought us other crazy good action thrillers: Léon: The Professional, The Transporter, Taken etc. and sci-fi films: The Fifth Element (Bruce Willis) 1997, Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets 2015 and Lucy 2014.
It is an interesting movie to see. Action, suspense, beauty, Romance .
I recently watched this for the first time. It is very much a product of its time, but I could see how much other films and t.v. shows have borrowed from and even built on aspects of this film. It's a very quiet film, I'd say, even with the occasional violence, and it has a kind of arty appeal. It's worth seeing once, at least.
This movie was entertaining and interesting but not one of my favorite for this year. “Not too bad---good performance”. "I fast forwarded a lot but not all the way.”
A true classic. 'Nuff said.
This French movie is so good that has caused the US to produce a no-so-good movie "Point of No Return".
The US movie producer Warner Bros later made a TV series in 1997. Hongkong had mimic this story in the movie "Black Cat". This French original is still the best version.
