It gives every culture to make the point of sacrifices made to be...…- American{ you put the culture in}.
For the Third , Fourth & recent generations to understand that all your People did not come in to America simply as current immigrants by airplane, cross the Border; these were 3rd class people with no childcare had to bring children to the fields, if you want privacy got to relieve sex in the shade of the care bushes.
Yep current generation needs to watch....4 stars

My grandmother had an arranged marriage, the description sounded interesting and hoped this might be somewhat entertaining. But it wasn't. This is marketed as a "romantic" or "woman's" film, too mushy and talky for most men to be interested in. Well, I'm a woman and I dare say there wasn't anything romantic about this film. Between the voyeurism (peeping tom), the way the nudity was portrayed, the groping and the woman creepily spying on another woman and man making love, I was disgusted. This was such a sleazy way to portray a story that is rarely told. A shame the great Toshiro Mifune appeared in such rot. His short performance was the only thing I don't regret watching, but even so I wouldn't have watched it just to see him if I knew how bad the rest was going to be. But I can understand how he might have thought the movie sounded like it might turn out well. In a different director's hands this might have been a pleasant movie instead of a filthy and offensive one. The director couldn't make up her mind whether she was making a skin flick for men or a dramatic film, and though I love calm movies this one just dragged on and on. Utter rubbish. Don't waste your time.

Sexual Content: Female rear nudity, female upper nudity including breast and nipple, voyeurism, peeping tom, man groping a woman's breast on more than one occasion, woman secretly watching another couple as they begin to make love. Quite a bit of attention and camera focus to these things.
