If you are looking for any new insight into Kurt Cobain, this film doesn't offer any. If you want to see any live footage of Kurt, again this film doesn't deliver.
It is a mish-mash of random clips backed by random music of other artists. There are the clips of Kurt in an interview with the author/co-producer that the hardcore fan might find interesting. But they shed no new light on the man.
There are a lot of videos on YouTube that cover everything in this movie, only better.
If you are not a hardcore Kurt Cobain fan with a couple of hours to throw away, by all means watch this movie. Otherwise skip it.

VERY GOOD film, not so much for its coverage of Kurt (no visuals; the speaking parts are about 90 minutes taken from 25 hours of recorded conversation between Kurt and Mark for the book Come As You Are), but for the video itself, which is terrific film coverage of Aberdeen, Olympia, and Seattle. Very clever production with extra excellent interviews and commentary by Michael Azerrad and A.J. Schnack.
