Tim Robbins, Rachel McAdams and Michael Pena are all very convincing in their roles. I love an road adventure movie. "The Lucky Ones" takes you on the adventure of a lifetime. At every turn it seems like a new obstacle appears for the three to solve. They are all so different and yet they come together for each other. Loved the ending! See if you can join me in giving "The Lucky Ones" Five Stars!

I liked it. I thought it was realistic and the friendship the three soldiers developed made the movie interesting to watch. I was surprised by the ending and I think that is what really tied the movie all together for me. Good acting by all. Love Tim Robbins and wonder how Susan Sarandon could have let him go!

this movie was inspirational as it deals with love and going after it despite the many challenges that arises.

Roger Ebert says "Spellbinding"...

I wouldn't. However, it is a good movie about three Iraq vets returning home and fatefully thrown together on a road trip.

A little ridiculous but it's a movie, well acted, and for an hour and a half you could do worse..

A three star American film is good in my books. The acting is superb and the film is well directed and tightly edited. Too bad the story is so flimsy and predictable that all the good work just sinks into vintage American mediocrity.

Great movie about life after Iraque. Great cast, good acting and well told story.

Not a perfect film, but a lovely one; however did I miss this, first time 'round? If you've ever wondered about Tim Robbins' talents - his performance alone is worth the time (and who knew he was so physically commanding?). Plot makes the compelling case for how hard it must be for returning soldiers to grasp that home life - with all its tragic / comic aspects - has continued to move along in their absence..when they've worked so hard to save it! Interestingly, the director chose to make a flic about life in the US now, and not really a war picture. I've never noticed co-star Michael Pena before - he deserves more work.

A great movie! Really impacting and memorable with a good story-line and great acting. Well worth watching. Some vulgar language and definitely mature subject matter. Adult audiences only.

Nice message about war - without really being at war

In this "American Hero" tale about 3 strangers who travel across country in a van while on 30 days leave from the current war, each of them discover not only who they are traveling with, but who they themselves really are.

Excellent performances by all as this "not-so-war" movies show the lives of 3 soldiers on leave after each one is hurt while at war.

Interesting and really good.

14+, no violence, a bit of foul language
