Showing gay films is illegal in India, so this was made as a comedic spoof. But it's not. Film takes place in Miami, and does a wonderful job of capturing the light, the scenery, the crowds, and the music of that town. Even though the songs are in Hindi, they are in a clearly Miami Cuban style. There is one scene, where a mother accepts the lover of her son into the home in a formal ceremony that is perhaps a joke that straight people laugh at, yet for gay men it was such a beautiful scene that it brings me to tears every time I watch it. The line "Maun ka Detch Ho" (As close as I can come) that seems to mean "Accept your mother's blessing" is so important for gay men to hear that it's wonderful. (In the commentaries of the film, the director makes the same point) UPDATE: Since this film has come out Lead Actor John Abraham has become a gay icon and has pretty much come out of the closet, and Bollywood seems to be OK with that.

Super comedy! Two boys in love with the same girls, hiding behind the label of “being guy” of circumstances: the urge to rent a room and the urge to get the permanent residency. Being a guy is the easiest way to obtain all that you wants, but when it comes to the part of acting like one, well here the things gets complicated. But I live the rest to you, just watch it!
