If I watched this movie first I would have probably never given the remake a chance. It was BAD!

This is NOT a remake. It is the original first film written and directed by Wes Craven. I found the extra interviews with cast a better watch than the actual film! A prime example of a movie gaining notoriety because it pushed the acceptable limits of sex and violence for the times. Some decent acting however considering a good portion of the cast came from the adult film industry.

This movie is a remake of a 1970's movie. It is slightly less violent but I didn't enjoy some of the scene.
