This movie imagines a world in which scientists have found a way to count down to the exact moment each person will find their soulmate: via a device known as a TiMER that you can have implanted in your arm. One complication: if your soulmate doesn’t have their TiMER implanted, yours won’t show a date - and that’s what Oona has been dealing with. When she meets a guy whose TiMER says his soulmate is a few months away, they decide to give it a try anyway. “TiMER” seems like pure fluff at first, but it ends up asking a lot of interesting questions: about the ways science plays a role in romance, what it means to fall in love, and whether love is ultimately a matter of chance or choice. Highly recommended!

Very clever movie that takes into consideration all kinds of possibilities inherent in science interfering in love. What if you could get a device implanted that told you the exact day on which you'd meet your soul mate? And then...what if the date it showed when it was implanted, was over 20 years away? Or what if no date showed up at all? And many more scenarios, cleverly laid out during the course of the movie. Engaging and interesting "what-if", and fun to watch.

I really liked this movie! It's an unusual romance with likable characters. I appreciate the fact that it's not the typical cookie cutter romantic comedy. Worth a watch!

Very quirky little movie about having a timer that will go off when you first meet your soul mate. The older generation thinks this will save their children from meeting and marrying the wrong person. So will the younger generation make use of this device or stick to making their own mistakes? Oona is 30 and desperately waiting for her timer to go off. Will she wait for it to go off or just jump into a relationship with both feet?

I expected to be silly fluff,.. but had a pleasant surprise !

Both charming and amusing ,.. but also thought provoking, concerning our attitudes and expectations about the "L" word.

A long time ago...or actually, in the not so distant future, imagine having a stopwatch that would go off when your "perfect" match and you first lock eyes. Oona is nearly 30 and is stuck with the possibility that her perfect match doesn't exist, or just doesn't want to be found. You follow her life, along with the life of her step sister & young brother as they experience the timer's effects in their lives, & in the end figure out if they need a device to help them decide what matters most in life.
