Katie Woo, an Asian-American child, faces a predicament that will be familiar to many children: all her friends and classmates are losing their teeth, but her tricky loose tooth will not come out! Divided into three short chapters, frequent dialogue and a watercolor picture for every page will keep young readers engaged and support their understanding of the story. The multicultural cast reflects the world children are growing up in, and they will easily relate to Katie’s many attempts to hurry up her loose tooth. Youngsters who believe in the tooth fairy will be supported by this story.
