I did borrow this book and read it or at least part of it. I may borrow it again but not sure. I think I stopped reading in part because of the subject matter and the dialogue.

A wonderful way to learn about our history. You will not be able to put down this book told from the perspective of Irish immigrants escaping the famine in their country and from slaves in the south during the civil war, two downtrodden groups fighting to make a better life for themselves and finding much in common.
