This board book with many flaps gives interesting and inspirational examples of how an "oops" can be turned into something beautiful. Torn paper becomes a crocodile's mouth, a smear becomes a picture of a frog. Use to encourage creativity and resilience. Possible tie-in with art and writing projects.

Kids will delight in seeing REAL "tears," "folds" and "spills" in the book's pages, and then discovering how they are transformed to make beautiful art!

Not only a beautiful book with creative pictures and flaps, but an excellent message for young artists. "Mistakes" - spills, stains, tears and blotches - can be the start of something wonderful.

reminds us that there are no mistakes in art

I'm an adult, and I'm also an artist, and I absolutely love this book. One of the best professors I ever had stressed the idea of never throwing away a piece or starting over because you don't like the way it looks. Even if it turns out to be a completely mess, it can be a beautiful mess. Everything she said is in this book explained in a way that all ages can understand and appreciate. It helps that the artwork is beautiful.
