Love this series!!

Rated 9/10. Overall I thought this series was very well done, with good stories. At times a bit too graphic and gory, which is why I gave it a 9, rather than a 10. Looking forward to series 2.

Unfortunately it just didn't grab me like Luthor or Line of Duty..I think it was the period issue that I am just not a fan of.

First thing, Ireland is not part of the UK as a member suggested. Great series, I liked Season 2 a bit more but by far one of the best written shows on TV

I am pleased to report that Series 2 is currently showing in UK. I am personally grateful for any UK productions that the library brings into it's catalogue. I did think that the first few episodes that I watched were simply too violent for me but I wouldn't go so far as to compare it to a completely different character. I would highly recommend 'Two Thousand Acres of Sky'. It is a wonderful show that the entire family will enjoy. I was able to order this through and my family and extended family simply loved it...and Kenny!

A decent but not particularly remarkable series. It cannot compare to "Sherlock". The writers were wise not to try to re-tell the much told story of Jack the Ripper, and this story begins after the Ripper murders occurred. I'm not sorry I watched it, but am not particularly anticipating a second series. Disk One was the most violent and harrowing to watch, and I almost didn't continue. Tons of atmosphere and a Dickensian CGI portrayal of diseased and rotting Victorian London with no sparing of details. The story came together in Disk Two and moved beyond the abattoir. There's so much slice & dice in films now that it's easy to become inured to it all. OK if you like this sort of thing. Give me good old reliable Sherlock any day.

It was O.K for a home TV movie. I was entertained and interesting. But it was NOT worth the long library wait or the price to rent from a Red Box.
