I enjoyed this book and the narration more than I thought I would. The book is only a little like the Disney movie I grew up with. Wart's life with Sir Ector and Kay was not as grim as in the cartoon movie and his adventures with Merlin were more extensive. Wart and Kay were just boys growing up together, Sir Ector is a good and loving father, and Merlin is their tutor. They have many adventures, but Wart is the focus of Merlin's tuition. Madam Mim was much more evil and interesting! I think this is an often forgotten gem of children's literature
