A clearly defined color pallet and artistic idea fuse with some incredible action to create a really fantastic update of Mad Max.

The best action movie of the 2010s imo. Yes there not really much of a story. This is a movie primarily for entertainment. The 2 main characters are awesome! The action and visuals are jaw dropping! 90% of this movie’s action were practical effects and incredible stunts! If a movie that doesn’t have much of a plot is an issue for you you’re not gonna like it. For those who want an amazing entertaining experience, WATCH ThIS ASAP

Rated 1/10. If you like a movie with no real plot, a lot of driving around, and senseless violence, this is the one for you.

MAD MAX ANTHOLOGY REVIEW .MAD MAX.Ok lets start with the original with Mel Gibson which in my opinion is the best of the series. this film inspired many other filmmakers and was the breakthrough postapocalyptic film. Aside from some of the content this movie is really cool especialy the pursuit special v8 intercepter car. The action scenes and plot are very well thought out and Mel Gibson is awesome as max rockatansky. From me this movie gets 4 stars. THE ROAD WARRIOR. This Id say is the second best film in the series the action scenes exceed even those of the original and Mel Gibson pulls it off again. The landscape scenes in this movie have a really realistic postapocalyptic feel and the plot was really well thought out. Plus the backstory as to why the world is so messed up is very interesting and sheds some light on whats going on. In all a 4 star movie. MAD MAX BEYOND THUNDERDOM. While not as action packed as the road warrior this movie is ok with the exception of Tina Turner she was flat out annoying. The gladiatorial scene in the thunderdome was pretty cool as were most of the action scenes and Mel Gibsons part. The inclusion of the lost tribe of children added an almost lord of the flies feel also. In all 3 stars. MAD MAX FURY ROAD. while under debate if this is the forth instalment or a reboot I like to think of it as a sequal to the other in the series. but really this movie is nothing but action and has no real balance like the road warrior had. Tom Hardy is as good as Mel Gibson but it seems the focus is manly on Carlize Therenes character furiosa. I give this movie 1 star. In all I give the whole anthology 3 stars. hope you enjoy the maximum force of the future.

Is this thing anything other than a prelude to a video game for zonked teenagers with death metal proclivities? It certainly seems like it as there is at most 15 minutes of plot and 90 minutes of murderous mayhem. It is also totally lacking in humour - one would at least expect the "baby" to be born with a deaths head gas mask? If you want humour in this type of movie, it is advised that you get "Death Race 2000" or "Starship Troopers".

No real story or plot...really makes you appreciate the original. Entertaining though but way over-hyped.

I agree with brinah;lots of action but no plot. Didn't finish watching as i lost all interest.

Great action film, and an excellent addition to the Mad Max/ Road Warrior series ( the second film is the best in my opinion )- watch it. It's really surprising how many people are against this movie- with so many bad action/ superhero movie stinking up the scene, I guess they don't recognize quality when they see it. Some people even complain when a movie delivers non-stop action in a visceral and exciting way!
Max is still the hero by the way- albeit a reluctant one.

Best movie of the year. End of the conversation.

Movie had a lot of action but no real plot. Whole movie was about a crazy man pursuing female prisoners, a lot of car crashes, explosions and unnecessary fighting. Big disappointment.

The fourth installment of the Mad Max franchise finds the titular character (now played by Tom Hardy) eclipsed by a new character, Furiosa, played by the ever-versatile Charlize Theron. Of the four films (so far) this has the most action, and visually it's incredible. There's enough over-the-top visuals to guarantee a smile. Underneath the grit and grime of the post-apocalyptic wasteland, there is a fair amount of clever subtext written into the storyline that may take multiple viewings to absorb. There are also graphic novels available that add to the characters, protagonists and antagonists alike, which can bring more context to a surprisingly rich world. Sharp-eyed fans of the franchise can find numerous homages scattered throughout, reflecting the previous entries in the series.
