Originals by Adam Grant contains the latest research on developing innovative and creative thinkers. It also has thoughtful information on how to overcome public speaking jitters, raise moral kids, and have a principled family or organization.

A decently written book that clearly explains non-conformists and their roles in organizations, and society generally. He provides useful advice on incorporating non-conformists, and even helping conformists become - at moments - a little more enjoyable. I found the incorporation of the bibliography into the notes irritating - whats an extra three pages in a three-hundred page book?

I went through High School and college justifying my non-conformism by saying I was a non- non- conformist --that is, I was rebelling against my peer group who were rebelling against their parents.

I was, therefore, relieved to read in this book that to be non-conformist is good. In fact the book went so far as to say that it doesn't take guts to follow the crowd; courage and intelligence lie in being ready to be different.

I'm not an entrepreneur or somebody who has made a huge difference to the world, but I'm comfortable in my skin and happy with what I have achieved. This perhaps springs from being Original.

Thank you Adam Grant.
