Kevin has a bad attitude. He's the one who laughs when you trip and fall. In fact, he may have been the one who tripped you in the first place. He has a real knack for rubbing people the wrong way—and he's even figured out a secret way to do it with poems. But what happens when the tables are turned and he is the one getting picked on? Rhyme Schemer is a touching and hilarious middle-grade novel in verse about one seventh grader's journey from bully-er to bully-ee, as he learns about friendship, family, and the influence that words can have on people's lives.

this book was really good but at some points it could be a little slow and repetitive. the plot was really good and the book was written in poems, which don't nessesarily take away from the book. i think that Kevin had really developed and that it had a good ending

Surprisingly quite a good book . Kevin starts out as a bully only to be on the other side soon being bullied himself . He is an angry , unhappy person as he feels like his family doesn't even notice him and his older brother bullies and picks on Kevin. Then the boy he bullied in class bullies Kevin back . This is a story of family dynamics , adults caring , and how his poetry can work for him to bring Kevin pride and happiness . Like the novel verse style of the Author's writing also . Would recommend this book .

I highly recommend this book. It is written in verse and takes the readers through a story of creativity, bullying, standing up for yourself and expressing yourself. This book reads like a journal, as if the reader has special access to the secret notes of the writer. Follow a seventh grader as he struggles through middle school and learns about friendship, family and the impact of the written word.
