They say a Jack Reacher look alike......... maybe in a few things but Clyde is a bit of a thug really. He also just blunders into a situation although he says he has a plan but if he does it's half arsed. Of course it's all done very nicely under the guise of a hero in the form of 'I'll save you no matter what you do & don't worry about how many people die in the attempt'. This story is Clyde rescuing his sister from some drug dealers 'cos he'll do whatever it will take to save her, this time because of their history. And he does but not only bad guys die.

A really nice read. Not too technical or full of sub plots. I would definitely recommend this book. Looking forward to his next one.

Okay, but certainly not gripping and suspenseful, like the Jack Reacher series. I saw on the cover that Lee child (Jack Reacher Author) said this book was "very very good". He must have been trying to be kind to the guys first attempt at a Reacher sound a like. Most Jack Reacher fans will be disappointed in this book.

Another Lee Child Jack Reacher lookalike.....toughest most noble, sincere, well meaning not a bad bone in his body good bad guy gets into a hundred fist, knife and gunfights with real bad guys for the best of reasons and naturally wins them all.

This is becoming a genre.... what will it be called? Reacheristic? Childishry?

Clyde Barr has recently been released from a Mexican jail after years of mercenary work across the world. A tracker and a hunter, he's also really good at dishing out violence. But at heart, he actually is a good guy, despite the noises he might make to the contrary. Case in point: despite a horrendous childhood, he's returned home to Colorado to save his sister from her worst mistake in a lifetime of them: getting involved with a ruthless meth kingpin. Lots of violence, and maybe a little romance (there's a strong-willed female bartender), rapidly ensue. This debut is for fans of Jack Reacher.
