Great novel with everyman characters. Larry Bond was his co-author in that he wrote Harpoon wargame/video game & executed Atlantic & Iceland scenarios.

A lengthy read with complex plots, but a suspenseful and frighteningly realistic novel as well. Engaging action sequences and well-developed characters make this a thrilling read.

This was my first Tom Clancy book and I was an instant fan. It had a way of hooking you into empathy for characters on both sides of the war.

A what if scenario seperate from his other works, pitting the US and Soviet Union against each other in World War III. It's been years since I've last read it, but it's a tightly written, sprawling novel.
