Did not like the unnecessary cussing but neither did the character. The TSA employee makes this warped minded movie funny. Thank goodness for the TSA.

Wow! I should have watched this one sooner. It kept me guessing up until the very end! Better than the horror elements or comedy elements, I enjoyed the indirect social commentary that this movie provided. It clearly, multiple times throughout, portrayed the alarming problem of continuing racism/conflict toward black people in this country even though all the while, white America continues consuming and appropriating black culture in any way possible. This movie takes that appropriation to an EXTREME and it's very eerie to watch the truth unfold.

To say this is a horror film is a bit amped. Creepy is better, given the B-film influences of blatant satire. At times, it seemed as if The Stepford Wives met The Watermelon Man, a curious 1970 film with familiar themes.

1/2 because I did watch. I did not see why everyone was so hyped up about. It was very predictable at some scenes. I would not watch this movie again nor would I recommend it to a friend to watch.

Get Out is a terrifying movie that just keeps getting better with an enjoyable storyline and frightening thrills.

Keep an open mind and let the movie develop into an interesting story, better than I expected!

I really don't see what all the hype is about...i found the movie terribly disappointing and absurd. It was also predictable at times: I could tell where the plot was going from time to time almost from the beginning. Barring the ludicrous science behind the film, the entire story feels like the cathartic relief of a BLM filmmaker and as such comes off as preachy and self serving. if this is Black militants cinematic revenge on Whitey for racism it fails in many respects, because it comes off as amateurish and fails to make any sort of real point other than the moral of "don't go into strange lands with strange White Women." If you check out the deleted scenes you will get confirmation that the director had a political bias from one (out of many excruciatingly similar ending scenes) scene where the comic relief makes a Trump joke that hits as successfully as you'd expect. (For the record i am no Trump supporter.) If you want to score social justice points with your libtard friends, by all means gush all over this film. Or you can be like me: rent it, loathe it, regret renting it, and review it appropriately. 1 star for originality, -4 stars for everything else.
