Very good PBS documentary about Jewish American soldiers during WWII. Many were immigrants or from immigrant families relocated from Europe. They have commentary from Jewish-American veterans. Some who later became famous; directors Carl Reiner and Mel Brooks, as well as politician Henry Kissinger. Other veterans are referenced such as writers Norman Mailer (The Naked and the Dead) and J.D. Salinger (The Catcher in the Rye). Many state that they faced discrimination in the U.S., but witnessing the Nazi hatred and inhumanity during the War was eye opening for all American soldiers.
