A return to form here after a disappointing series two. This is the final series and does an excellent job at portraying the solid friendship between Clémence and Karl. It's never quite explained why she's been demoted, but the French crew trusts the both of them and feeds them the information needed to pursue child pedophiles and a Bosnian mother driven mad by the loss of her son. More plot--less gratuitous violence and gore than series two, although there's a salacious and vicious scene involving drugged and deluded men. Intense ending and some rays of hope: a child is rescued, a son confronts his sleazy dad, a new bicultural romance takes off, and possibly another chance for Karl with his estranged family.
