New York City architect Natalie works hard to get noticed at her job but is more likely to be asked to deliver coffee and bagels than to design the city's next skyscraper. And if things weren't bad enough, Natalie, a lifelong cynic when it comes to love, has an encounter with a mugger that renders her unconscious, waking to discover that her life has suddenly become her worst nightmare, a romantic comedy, and she is the leading lady.

With a cast like that I knew it would be funny, but it exceeded my expectations. Rebel Wilson is a treat and this was an adorable movie.

Fun and funny. I liked how story was more about her confidence and standing up for herself than the romance part. Somehow the story points out the problems with rom coms but also is kind of an ode to them!

2019 A very cute, fun and good movie PG 13. Rebel wakes up in a romance comedy movie. I really liked it. Good music.

Solid movie, it makes fun of the genre and itself which I thought was cool. Rebel Wilson was good in this.

Rebel Wilson is so different as a leading lady and that's what gives this somewhat tired script its oomph. Fun overall!

I watched this on a plane trip to pass the time and wasn't expecting much. I was happily surprised. I found this to be a quite entertaining spoof of romantic chick flicks, skewering all of the cliches with exuberant gusto.

I'M NOT PREGNANT, I'M JUST FAT (HER BEST WORK WAS IN THE BROTHERS' GRIMSBY)
or TOO BIG TO FAIL or A LITERAL HOUSE OF CARDS PRODUCTION
In a film full of second bananas, how could anyone lead? Labor of love, and high hopes for personal magnetism carried this from pitch to screen, and it's the burden of actors to deliver unrealistic goals for the studio... in the right vehicle, each has demonstrated
their own ability; to support a stronger lead... and Wilson's upcoming film with Hathaway
sounds a d-Eh-light... someone must have dusted off a copy of Devil Wears Prada and found one funny scene to think there was anything to work with in making this one..
sadly, first reaction was the fail I think was Jennifer Love-Hewitt and Sigourney Weaver
as the mother-daughter con team back in the early 00's going after rich fools, as little of this
film connected.. or they tried some of Bullock's middle period work as write-offs

I like Rebel Wilson in everything I've seen her in, but I thought this movie was slow and boring. While trying to make fun of popular romcoms like Pretty Woman and Notting Hill, this film also tried to be funny itself but it didn't quite hit the mark. Watch this one for Rebel's performance, the random musical numbers, and Liam Hemsworth at the end playing saxophone.

Blake: You are beguiling.

Natalie: Did you just learn that word, cause you tend to say it a lot.

Blake: If you want me to stop saying it, I will. But you're gonna have to stop being so damn beguiling!
