This movie, based on true events, is based on the atrocities of abortion in a Planned Parenthood facility in Texas, USA. Fortunately, the facility-converted to an abortion clinic- was later closed due to public reaction which eventually saved thousands of babies. Hence, the well known axiom:"What man proposes; God disposes!"follows suit in this case.

Yes, it's a story all right -- but neither dramatic nor true. For some reason, anti-abortion activists have latched onto Unplanned as an unbiased look at this issue in the United States. But when a Planned Parenthood executive character, inspired by Cruella DeVille, says "abortion is our burgers and fries", you know you're not in Kansas anymore. For example, there's the film's anti-abortion organization, the one that is depicted as so gentle, reasonable and pure? In real life, Planned Parenthood successfully sued them for threatening violence and misappropriation of their records, an act that may have been orchestrated by the movie's heroine, Abby Johnson. They could still sue her and the film makers for misrepresenting the events of her employment with Planned Parenthood. The production and acting is of higher quality than is typical of films like this, but it's safe to say its bloody and hyper-sensational depiction of a clinic will convince no one who is not convinced already.

This is an issue film. The abortionists are the bad guys and the Christians are the good guys.

But it's not nearly that simple. It is but it isn't.

What I knew about this film before I saw it from just reading around was Abby Johnson, a regional director of Planned Parenthood was called from her desk one morning to assist in an actual abortion. What she saw changed her life.

After watching the movie I learned there's a lot more to the story than that.

I'd love to give you spoilers but I talked myself out of it.

If you're open to it this story can be very moving. Beautiful ending.

Oh, and it doesn't take much to find other ex Planned Parenthood employees with stories similar or worse. Sorry outraged people in comments below you're not going to convince me they're all lying.

I am a man and this might sound as a stupid question. So I am sorry for that. Why exactly is abortion referenced to as something to do with woman's health, or sexual health or reproductive health? ...

If you believe this is lies, then go contact Abby Johnson herself. Her website is there for all to see.

Abby joins more women that worked with PP that are coming out now. Including many African American community leaders that realized that black children are aborted at DOUBLE the rate of whites, and other minorities at much higher rates too. Simply google the statistics. Also google how African American leaders are speaking up, but being silenced. In New York, there are now years more African American children are aborted than born. Verify this on Politifact.

Did you also know that Norma Covey, Jane Roe of Roe v Wade, spent all her remaining years speaking out against abortion, marching almost every year her health allowed in the March for Life in Washington - saying constantly that abortion was a terrible mistake and anti-women? It is NOT pro-woman to abort almost 17 million women since Roe v Wade.

A dramatization that is factually incorrect.

That movie made me angry for the way people treat women like sh*t. But the way they do to the women in real life is not like this. They’re take care very well than a garbage cans. The movie is making planned parenthood look bad and make them looked like they’re focus on Billions Dollar Empire. That movie is so full of lies and making up stories. They don’t know what it is like to be a woman. Being raped, have no support and everything is unavailable to help us all. No wonder many companies of tv and people turned it down to aired it on the screen everywhere.. They knew how bullsh*t the movie is. Still they won over planned parenthood offices to be shut down. Shame on you Abby Johnson.

Propaganda disguised as a movie and designated to shame, bully, and ostracize women.

Great movie!!!!! This is a True Story movie !!!!!
Abby was the youngest director of Planned Parenthood and she had experienced abortion first hand twice and felt she was fighting for women’s rights by working for PP until she learned the TRUTH ABOUT ABORTION and PLANNED PARENTHOOD. A must see movie
because it’s Abby’s real life experience in a Drama movie not a Documentary style. If you are ProLife or pro choice this is a must see !!!!!
