Roy Cohn's life story is told through interviews with family members, friends and colleagues. The director makes it very clear throughout the movie that he's indirectly telling the story of Cohn's protégé, Donald J. Trump. So this exposé of a personality in disarray is actually a two-for-one deal... a fascinating portrait into the psyche of a demagogue. "Never admit your wrong. Don't settle, don't apologize. Attack, create phony issues and change the debate." Roy M. Cohn

Can only reiterate my agreement with the comments below: Cohen is the embodiment of the Trump style of evil and corruption who was at the center of the right wing take over of the US government from McCarthy thru Regan, Bushes and Trump. See how he was able to manipulate politicians and the law in DC and New York culminating in his mentoring Trump to be as evil as he was. This is a sobering and rather depressing look at this country over the last 50 years.

If you want to understand how Donald Trump became the disgusting, corrupt, vacant man that he is then you have to watch this movie.

Fascinating documentary about a man who lies nonstop, manipulates people and the press, is amoral, has no empathy, never apologizes, and would commit any sin to win. If you guessed the current occupant of the Oval Office, you would be both right and wrong. This excellent documentary is about Roy Cohn, infamous on so many levels, who provided the playbook for this president. Scary. But don't miss this one.
