Straight up
DVD - 2020 | Widescreen version
Todd is a hyper-articulate, obsessive compulsive gay twentysomething whose fear of dying alone leads him to a baffling conclusion: he might not be gay after all. When he meets Rory, a whip-smart struggling actress with her own set of insecurities, the two forge a relationship that's all talk and no sex.

Opinion
From Library Staff
Get ready for some extremely fast paced, witty dialogue in this sweet movie about two unconventional 20-somethings. I loved the themes—confused sexuality, OCD, loneliness, being true to yourself (if you can figure out who you are)—all done with humor and sympathetic characters. Recommended by Lukie.

Add a CommentWhen I first heard about this new movie, looked at the cover photo and read the synopsis, I knew it was going to be a shallow, dull bore of a film, not unlike so, so many others that should either never have been made, or at least relegated to late night television so nighttime hotel clerks have something to do.
WOW! I sure got that wrong.
This movie is a must see for anyone who is sophisticated, likes original themes and is not a mindless prude. The actors and their acting is spot on and everything else just falls right into place. Don't pass this gem up.
