Add a CommentI think it's a worth while watch. It's not going to blow you away but I found it heartwarming and a good reminder of the recent history of women's lib. Loved seeing photos of the real life activists then and today at the end.
This should have been good. It has some amazing actors, an inspiring source story, and it's British! BUT...it just falls flat. I'd recommend Official Secrets also historical and starring Keira Knightley - it's much better.
The British do historical movies so well. This is set in the not-too-distant past (1970) and is based on a true story. I enjoyed it (even though the plot twists are visible by a mile) and the acting was good. Fun and interesting movie overall.
