A captivating dramatic thriller set just after WWII, an all but forgotten true story about a soldier, Joseph Piller, investigating renowned Dutch artist Han van Meegeren who is accused of conspiring with the Nazis. Quite enjoyable. Loved Guy Pearce's flamboyant portrayal of van Meegeren. Keep in mind many real events have been significantly changed in the movie. For example, the last 45 minutes (when the trial begins) is almost complete fiction.
