I rate Time Travel for Love and Profit by Sarah Lariviere 1.5 stars. The plot was not very interesting and was generally very predictable. Although there was a major plot twist at the end, the majority of the book was not very interesting. I felt like I was mostly dragging myself through the book and not getting much emotion or action. This book included lots of mathematical and scientific information about solving a scientific problem and also some facts about quantum foam, which I found quite boring. The writing was alright, but the plot was not engaging. The characters interacted predictably and were kept at a minimum throughout the story. I did not find any dynamic characters besides Nephele and was disappointed at the high percentage of flat characters. The focus was mainly on Nephele and her thoughts and actions, which were not very intriguing. However, I did enjoy the decision Nephele made to help humanity. She gave up her 10 years of work (in which she had made a somewhat successful time machine) and showed her true values after discovering the potential consequences of her time travel machine.
