I really enjoyed watching While You Were Sleeping. The storyline is unique, the characters are very likeable, and there are so many funny moments. Sandra Bullock is fantastic in this movie, as is the acting of all the other characters. The entire concept is hilarious, and based off of misunderstandings, which makes this film very entertaining to watch. The plot is very enjoyable as well, and isn’t too predictable. There is a great combination of romance, humour, and emotion, which makes this suitable for various types of people. I would highly recommend this film to other viewers! It is a very sweet and entertaining story! @PenelopeScriptor of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library
In this movie, Sandra Bullock takes on the role of Lucy, a recently single transit worker. Lucy’s life is turned upside down when she saves her crush, Peter, after he falls onto train tracks, rendering him unconscious. After this horrific accident, Peter is in a coma. While visiting Peter in the hospital, Lucy inadvertently convinces Peter’s family that she is his fiance. To make matters worse, as Lucy spends more time with Peter’s family, she finds herself falling head over heels in love with Jack, Peter’s younger brother. After Peter wakes up, Lucy must now deal with the consequences of her actions. Although While You Were Sleeping has many positive reviews, I absolutely hated this movie. Lucy and Peter’s relationship felt too forced and rushed. This is definitely not one of Sandra Bullock's greatest works.
