The book is more focused on the writers of the show rather than the actors, although there are some interesting sideline stories about the actors and what was happening behind the scenes but mainly, this book is about the writers. If you're a big fan of the Mary Tyler Moore show, you might find it interesting, but if your expectations are to hear lots of stories about the actors, you may find it a little dry.
This critic sums it up for me: "In the end, a sense of full disclosure on the part of the publisher would have demanded that the book more rightfully be called Treva and Susan and Pat and Gloria—but that would have most assuredly had a lesser appeal."
