Dr. Rovelli is a wonder. This was his first of three (so far) best-selling excursions into the ultimate realms of physics -- written for readers with no particular scientific background. I was first hit with quantum mechanics as a college freshman in the early 1960s, and I struggled to understand this at-face nonsensical theory. In succeeding decades I've read book after book on the subject and only barely risen above my original level of bafflement. The morning after I read Seven Brief Lessons, the quantum interrelationships between gravity and light packets (quanta) suddenly seemed obvious. Coincidence? Likely not.
