A classic of Batman comics and for a very good reason. You almost feel like you've slipped in to Frank Miller's Sin City at points as you move into Gotham with Jim Gordon and he realises what kind of city he has brought himself and his family into. On the other hand we have Bruce Wayne returning to Gotham City and his own trials and failures at being Batman, once Batman is what he decides to be. It is a fantastic comic. Harsh and gritty art. Unforgiving plot on both Gordon and Batman narratives as both men try and fail and do things they are not proud of for both stupid reasons and for the greater good.
