WAY better than we expected it to be. We recommend this. Patricia Arquette gives a standout performance; she well deserved her Golden Globe win. Benicio Del Toro is chilling and Paul Dano very good too. Eric Lange did a fine acting job as the husband. The makeup crew deserves a nod too. Some people thought this moved slow, but we did not get that feeling at all. I watched a bit of the commentary which gave additional insight such as why, in the middle of the series, they switch in time to show the backstory of the 2 convicts. It seems slow there, BUT stick with it as there's a good reason for it. This is one of those chilling TRUE stories that you probably would find "not very believable" if it were fiction. Fine directing job by Ben Stiller too. They used many of the actual people in many of the roles; some ex-prisoners and guards from this very place. The tactical team that goes into the woods in the last episode are all the actual guys that did the real mission and they reenact it perfectly. I found this especially interesting because I lived very near this place a few decades ago. So when it broke in the news I followed it carefully. They really did a fine job sticking to the facts!
