Abominable was one cute and sweet story about family, friends, and nature. It is about three children; Yi, Jin, and Peng who find a yeti hiding in their apartment building and go on a journey to return him back to his family. At the same time, they have to make sure the yeti does not get captured by a wealthy man and a zoologist. One thing that I like very much was the cute humor created by Peng and Everest’s (the yeti) friendship. They were both very much the same, both young and wild. The animation, the visuals, and the music was also very fascinating, it gave me goosebumps till the end. This movie also had many morals about family and nature, Yi suffered from a loss and was distant from her family, the wealthy man hunted animals and kept them in cages. We will learn that during difficult times our family is with us and that animals do not belong in cages; they have a family too and have every right to be free. 5/5 stars @LibbyTeen of the Hamilton Public Library's Teen Review Board Abominable was a beautiful movie! I enjoyed how Yi, the main character, was portrayed as a normal teenager with realistic problems. She is such a kind-hearted and caring character! As a teenager myself, I can definitely relate to her! Besides that, her determination was very inspiring; in order to complete an important task, she was forced to team up with someone she disliked, but in the end, her thoughts and perspective on the character completely changed, and the teamwork was successful! Overall, this is a must-watch movie, and it is definitely worth your time if you enjoy adventure and nature! 5/5 @roselilly04 of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library It’s crazy how this movie is still not well known as many others. The animation in this movie is quite frankly the best I’ve ever seen in a children’s animated movie. My family and I decided to give this movie a go and we all couldn’t stop laughing! There are a lot of cute childish humour that I feel anyone will enjoy! Please don’t feel like this movie is only limited to those who are under the age of 12. This is a movie that had me on an emotional roller coaster and everyone will love it guaranteed. The voice actors are great at capturing the essence of their characters, I’m truly amazed. 5 out of 5 stars from me! What are you waiting for? Go watch it!! @SpookyCat of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library
