Aftertaste follows Konstantin "Kostya" Duhovny, a man haunted by the death of his father and the ghosts that have lingered ever since. Though he can't see them, he tastes their favorite foods--flavors that reveal their presence. When Kostya learns he can temporarily reunite the living with the dead through dishes he cooks, he dives into New York's intense culinary world to fulfill what he believes is his calling. But as he gains fame, he fails to see a looming danger in the Afterlife--and the one person who might stop him is falling in love with him.
